Stewards:
We need many volunteer stewards for the parade. The majority of the stewards are requried for prior and during the parade. Whilst a small number of Chief Stewards are required for the whole day.
Stewards' duties are to ensure the parade goes ahead safely. Stewards assigned to the float section will be required to ensure that nobody gets on and off a float during the parade. Stewards assigned to walking groups will be required to ensure that nobody within that group comes into danger with moving vehicles. Additonal to the above, Chief Stewards are in charge of liaising with the emergency services should they have to.

Friends of the Festival:
The Birmingham St Patrick’s Festival and St Patrick’s Day Parade are only possible through the financial support of sponsors including Birmingham City Council, businesses, community organisations and grant making organisations.
The Friends scheme is an opportunity for individuals and businesses to contribute towards the cost of holding one of the best St Patrick’s Day Parades in the world, right here in Birmingham. Funds raised through the scheme are used towards entertainment during the Festival.
Friends receive: an exclusive ‘Friends of the Festival’ badge, their name listed in the brochure (unless otherwise requested), a complimentary ticket to the Festival Launch Party, they are into 2 prize draws for various prizes.
Businesses can financially support these events by joining the Friends scheme. Membership of the scheme costs £100 (option A) or £200 (option B) per year payable by standing order or cheque.
In return your logo appears in our festival brochure for a twelve month period (options A & B) and your business is listed (with a hyper-link and logo) on our website (option B).
Individuals can also financially support the Festival by becoming a Friend for £25. Payment cab be made by cheque/cash or standing order (2x£12.50 debits made on the 17th of April & October each year).
